Yvonne Martinez Osorio, age 48, of Carpentersville, passed away at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington, IL on April 26, 2019. She was born August 27, 1970 in Laredo, TX to her loving parents, Jose A. Martinez and Rosalinda Espinoza.

Yvonne attended Larkin High School and then worked as a bus driver for District U-46 and District 300 Schools. During her time there she built a special, loving connection with many of her students.

Yvonne met the love of her life, Rene Valle Osorio Jr., and the two were married on July 17, 2012. Yvonne then stayed at home full time to provide care for her three youngest children.

Loved ones will remember Yvonne’s overflowing heart and loving, caring nature. She thrived on conversation and would befriend everyone who crossed her path. She never failed to speak her mind and always wore her heart on her sleeve. She carried herself with a welcoming attitude and approached friends and strangers alike with open arms and without judgment. Yvonne loved her faith and was inspired to give her life to Christianity. She valiantly followed her heart and was baptized on November 16, 2014. Her family and friends will forever treasure the beautiful memory with the video of “Yvonne’s Baptism.”

Yvonne’s selfless nature would shine through her bond with her mother, Rosalinda. Her unequivocal love and devotion was unwavering, and she was always available to her no matter the circumstance.

Yvonne was a passionate volunteer for the D300 Food Bank. She loved helping people and giving back, and was featured as the face of the pantry volunteers in the organization’s video, “What Makes Us Different.”

Yvonne loved animals and would never hesitate to rescue any she ever found to be in distress. She had a special place in her heart for all of the family pets. She will be greatly missed by all of her furbabies.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her father, Jose A. Martinez and her son, Dakota Cody Rocha.

Yvonne is survived by her dear husband, Rene Valle Osorio, Jr.; Children: Jesse (Jessica) Rocha, Jose Benito Rocha IV, Michael “Alex” Rocha, Manuel Eduardo (Sarah) Rocha, Syrus Andrew Osorio, Chloe Rose “Mama” Osorio, and Rene Valle “Papa” Osorio III, Tony Osorio, Kara Osorio, Sara Osorio; Her parents, Rosalinda (Eustacio) Padilla; Siblings: Patricia (Juan Carlos) Giraldo, Juanita Martinez-Trejo, Jose A. Martinez Jr., Ester Miranda, Marisol Miranda, Cynthia Jeanette Padilla, Angelic Marie Martinez, Antonio Martinez, Ann Chandler Thorson; Grandchildren: Jayden, Angelica “Gelie”, Nate, Annabelle, Amya, and Marydithe; Godson: Victor Trejo; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be 5:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. Wednesday May 8, 2019 at Symonds-Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park St., Elgin IL 60120. Visitation will continue 12p.m. until time of service at 1:00p.m. Thursday May 9, 2019, at Symonds-Madison Funeral Home, Rev. Javier Ortiz officiating. Yvonne will be buried with her beloved son, Dakota Cody Rocha, at Mount Hope Cemetery, 1001 Villa St., Elgin IL 60120.
