When my sister passed away the thought of going to a funeral home to help set arrangements was just too much to bear. I'm glad to have met Dan, he was truly genuine in the process and respected everyone's wishes. Her funeral was was beautiful, the floral arrangements were beautiful and the entire staff was very helpful. Overall they helped us on the hardest day of our lives by being very sympathetic and kind to my sister as well as our family and friends.
My husband of 46 years had been battling multiple health problems for years. Still, his death came as a sudden, numbing shock. I'd done virtually no planning for final arrangements, so the hospice nurse's early morning call to Daniel came to him out of the blue. Nevertheless, he was at my house within what seemed like minutes, ready to discuss Bruce's wishes with flawless professionalism and genuine compassion. These wishes, it must be noted, were as unconventional as my husband had been: Among other details, a specific plain pine coffin had to be obtained from 1,300 miles away, and a horse-drawn caisson needed to be hired. Never once did Daniel say "Not possible." He made it all happen, on time, even going so far as to transport the coffin on the final leg of its trip after the freight company dropped the ball. I found Symonds-Madison in a hasty Google search at the most difficult time I'd ever faced. I will forever be grateful that I did.
Daniel the funeral director has gone above and beyond to help with the entire process. He did an excellent job with my aunt's service last week. Two years ago he helped us with my father in law's service. It's hard to lose a loved one, but finding the right place is important.
I came across this funeral home from a google search. My dad was in hospice care and I wanted to prepare myself for the inevitable. I call other places in town but I felt as they were cold and unsympathetic. Daniel took the time from that first phone call to explain the different options. When the time came and my father passed he came to the house and made us feel very comfortable in putting my father into his care. Arrangements were very smooth and thoughtful, His wife Joy did such an amazing job with his obituary. She really capture his life in so many words.
Dan has proven himself to be a mover of mountains to get things done right. As well as being a TRUE friend of those in the military. I will use him for my own funeral. Thank you Dan for all you do. For Bill Kopecki
The folks over at Symonds-Madison are top notch! We know they will be able to take care of any funeral need with excellent service and care. The owners are wonderful people.
Thank you from our entire family for the love, kindness, support, and excellent preparations and funeral for my grandma. Our family will be forever grateful for the professional, kind, genuine caring that you extended to us. On behalf of the Cangialosi & Juntunen Families.
Symonds Madison is a family owned business. The owner and director Daniel lives by the model "Everyone that walks through the door is treated like family." I would give the business and owner Daniel a 10 stars but the highest you can leave is a 5. Our family couldn't be happier with the service you provided us during such a devastating time of loss. You understood our needs and went the extra mile to make sure everything was as perfect as it could of been. Daniel, our family is extremely grateful for the warmth and compassion you all showed us. The Keith Family
They are so helpful and understanding i loved the great job they did for my fathers funeral.
It took way too long to write this review, but I still feel my experience should be shared. When my mom passed away in 2018, I knew she wanted to be buried and not cremated. I wasn’t sure how I was going to afford a burial plus a memorial that I felt she deserved. Dan worked with me and didn’t make me feel ”less than” if I declined anything. They don’t play on your vulnerabilities during a hard time and that is appreciated. I also had special circumstances regarding my moms needs, which I was afraid would double the cost of the funeral, but he was able to find a special casket that I could afford. My grieving process was easier because of they way they took care of us.
