Sylvia Anne Cordero, age 55, of Hanover Park, IL, passed away on July 6, 2021. She was born February 22, 1966 in Chicago, IL to her loving parents, Dianius and Joanne Kerulis (née Dugnas).
Sylvia worked in the hospitality industry as a waitress and hostess for many years. While working at the Springdale Restaurant, she met her husband, Eduardo. They were married for 21 years.
Before GPS, Sylvia used to get lost everywhere she went. But wherever she went, she would find and feed the local wildlife, such as squirrels, birds, and skunks. She also enjoyed rescuing neighborhood cats. Her pet, Patches, was one such cat that she rescued, fostered, and eventually adopted. The only one she loved more than her husband and pets was her mother.
Loved ones will remember Sylvia’s tender heart. She always found time to help everyone who needed it, especially her family, coworkers, and neighbors.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her mother, Joanne Kerulis; and son, Christian (who passed at just 13 days old). She is survived by her husband, Eduardo; sisters, Diane Irwin and Rita Drago; nephews, Paul Irwin and Jaymz Irwin; and fur babies, Bonita and Patches the cats, and Jolie the dog.
