Raymond “Ray- Ray” Dyson, age 29, went home to Jesus, on April 29, 2018 in Elgin, Illinois. He was born July 4, 1988 in Chicago, Illinois to his loving parents, Robert Hollins and Pansy Dyson.
Raymond grew up in Chicago, IL and raised in LeClaire Courts. He enjoyed going back every year to the annual picnics to see old friends and classmates. He was known and loved in the community. He always enjoyed being outdoors, either playing basketball, or just sitting outside telling jokes and laughing with his friends.
He graduated from Phoebe A. Hearst Fine Arts Magnet School in Chicago, Illinois, and went on to John F. Kennedy High School to further his education.
He enjoyed watching movies and spending time with his family and friends. Loved ones will remember Raymond as a friendly and kind-hearted young man who was always smiling, a loving son, brother, uncle and friend.
Raymond is survived by his mother, Pansy Dyson; two loving children, daughter Brooklynn Rae Dyson and Son Jaxen Isaiah Dyson; three siblings, Katrina Dyson, Donald (Artelia) Dyson, and Doretha Dyson; and a host of loving nieces and nephews and other loving relatives.
Raymond was preceded in death by his father, Robert Hollins.
The family will be greeting friends and relatives at 10:00a.m. until time of ser vice at 11:00a.m. May 8, 2018 at Philadelphia Full Gospel Baptist Church, 76 South Jackson St., Elgin IL 60123. Interment will follow at Bluff City Cemetery, 945 Bluff City Blvd, Elgin IL 60120.
