Jan Beth Bach, age 66, of Elgin, IL, passed away on January 4, 2022. She was born August 9, 1955 in Chicago, IL to her loving parents, George and Virginia (nee Garczynski) Drobina, and was the youngest of four children (born just four minutes after her twin sister, Joy).

Jan was blessed with two children (Kristina and Kevin), and two grandchildren (Abigail and William), whom she absolutely adored.

Jan studied nursing at the St. Francis School of Nursing and was a nurse for 43 years. She spent most of those years at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where she met so many lifelong friends, and mentored many new nurses.

Jan lived her life to the fullest. She was always busy spending time with her family and many friends. She enjoyed boating, traveling, concerts, swimming with her grandkids, going to Cubs games, and gardening with her sister, Joy.

Jan’s smile and laughter will live with us always. Jan, we wish that we could have you here with us, but know that you are resting in peace. Goodbye to an amazing woman, beautiful mother, wonderful sister, awesome grandma, lovable aunt, and forever best friend.

Jan was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Jackie Ciesielski and Bud Drobina. She is survived by her children, Kristina Bach and Kevin (Barbara) Bach; twin sister, Joy (Roland) Kadegis; and grandchildren, Abigail Bach and William Bach.
