Gloria Tedei Clark, 94, passed away peacefully at her home, The Greens of Elgin, on August 22, 2015. She was born in Franklin Park, IL on February 16, 1921 to Frank and Helena Tedei, the youngest of three children.

After graduating from Leyden High School, Gloria worked as a secretary where she met Donald Clark. They married and moved to Elgin, IL where Gloria resided for the remainder of her life. Gloria devoted her life to raising five children.  She later returned to work as a School District U-46 secretary.  Upon retirement from Illinois Park School, she worked part time in a medical office. Gloria loved knitting blankets, making toffee and playing Scrabble.  She also loved tending her pink flower gardens.Gloria was an active member of Epworth United Methodist Church, serving on many committees including the United Methodist Women.

She was preceded in death by her brother Louis.

Gloria is survived by her loving children, Christi Clark, Daniel (Donna) Clark, Patti (Peter) Roehrs, Rhonda (Steven) Joustra and Bonnie (Brian) Kirmse; her grandchildren, Dana, Gloria and Christian Clark, Gregory (Sarah), Kyle (Ashley), Kevin and Mollie Joustra, and Daniel and David Kirmse; and great-grandchildren Kaden, Morgan and Rylan Joustra. She is also survived by her sister Victoria Rende and many dear nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Gloria’s Life will be held at Epworth United Methodist Church, 37W040 Highland Avenue Elgin, IL on Saturday, September 12 at 2:00 p.m.
