Donna B. Oursler, age 61, of Elgin, passed away at Advocate Sherman Hospital on August 19, 2015. She was born in Oak Park, Illinois on August 15, 1954 to the loving parents of William Sr. and Jacqueline Becker.

Donna was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister.  She married the love of her life, Barry on October 27, 1974.

Donna was one of the sweetest around, always putting others before herself.  A devoted daughter, she always enjoyed sitting and talking with her father for hours on end.  She also enjoyed teaching Sunday school and sharing the Word of God with her students. Her big heart even extended to the animal kingdom, and she loved her two cats, Frost and Shorty.

Donna wasn’t much of a home cook, instead preferring to savor Barry’s culinary creations. She was a big music fan, and family joked that she loved Paul McCartney almost as much as Barry. Gardening was one of her favorite pastimes, and she always looked forward to ordering and planting tulips.

Donna was preceded in death by her brother, Theodore Becker.

She is survived by her husband, Barry, daughter Melissa (Tyler) Kester, son Nick (Lynette) Oursler, her grandchildren, Gabriel and Violet Kester, Juliette, and Jett Oursler, her brothers William Becker Jr., Richard (Lynae) Becker, and many cousins.
