Babalola George Dasilva, 67, of Bloomingdale, passed away September 23, 2017 at West Suburban Care Center in Bloomingdale.  He was born April 23, 1950 in Nigeria to his loving parents, Bolaji Dasilva and Tokumbo Ewulomi.

Babalola was educated in his home country of Nigeria, attending St. Paul’s Primary School, Loyola College Ibadan, and University of Lagos.  After immigrating to the United States, he was a hard-working man who owned many successful healthcare and home clinic businesses. He married the love of his life, Grace, after meeting her on the way to a New Year’s Eve church service.  The two shared 44 years of marriage and together raised six children. Babalola believed strongly in supporting his children’s education.  In his free time, he enjoyed cooking, fishing and traveling.  One of his best-known sayings was, “Where there is life, there is hope.”

Babalola is survived by his loving wife, Grace Dasilva; his children, Olawunmi, Olusola, Omotola, Tolulope, Bolaji, and Olamide; siblings Bimbola Agbaje, Lola Titlola,Dr Abiola, Tunji, Lekan, and Folarin; and 14 grandchildren.

Visitation will be 10:00AM until time of service at 11:00AM on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Symonds-Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park St., Elgin IL 60120, Pastor Williams Babatunde officiating.
