Dan and Joy were great and treated our family like they were their family! I really can’t thank the staff enough for helping us turn a tragedy into a celebration of an amazing life.
We had a double funeral Which to my knowledge has never been done before but both bodies were beautiful even with the small hiccups I loved the attention Daniel and Joy gave my family. I would love to use this funeral home in the future. Thank you Daniel Symonds and Joy Symonds.
Daniel made us feel like family the minute we walked through the door. He was very compassionate and made us feel comfortable in trusting him with our loved one. During such a difficult and emotional time, your mind is elsewhere; when so many things need to be handled. Daniel took care of everything for us and gave us the gift of time; time for us to be able to say goodbye to my mom without being rushed or having to worry about every little detail that needed to be done. My mom looked beautiful, the service was beautiful and the flowers were beautiful. Thank you Daniel and Joy for helping us through this difficult time, for handling all the details that are overwhelming for the family and for offering your support. I would give you more than 5 stars if it were possible. Rogelia Aranda
I would recommend this place to everyone. The staff there is so helpful and patient. They walk you through the entire process and answer all questions.
When my sister passed away the thought of going to a funeral home to help set arrangements was just too much to bear. I'm glad to have met Dan, he was truly genuine in the process and respected everyone's wishes. Her funeral was was beautiful, the floral arrangements were beautiful and the entire staff was very helpful. Overall they helped us on the hardest day of our lives by being very sympathetic and kind to my sister as well as our family and friends.
One of the most difficult things in life we go through is the loss of a loved one. When you are the one who is responsible to make their final arrangements, it can be the most stressful experience of your life. My family recently suffered the loss of our dad and Daniel Symonds- Funeral Director/Owner and his staff made me and my family feel at ease and comfortable. They treated us like they were part of our family. Daniel answered all our phone calls with patience. They took care of everything and were compassionate and very professional. They took the time to understand our sometimes complicated wishes and helped explain decisions we had to make. With respect to the level of service of the Symonds-Madison funeral Home, If I could give them 10 stars I would. On behalf of the Ogunribido Family, Thank You. You made a heartbreaking experience manageable and memorable. I'm sure daddy is smiling in heaven!
Our mothers loss was very sudden and unexpected. Symonds Madison funeral home was extremely understanding, sympathetic and patient in guiding us through these very difficult decisions and processes. The prayer cards were very well done and we felt reflected our mothers personality appropriately. The family all feel that we made the right decision in choosing Symonds Madison at this very difficult time.
Symonds-Madison Funeral Home went above and beyond when it came to planning my son’s cremation. I’ve never had any experience with this, but they made everything easy to understand, helped walk us through everything, and I was even given helpful materials as a grieving mother. I love the fact that this is a family run, local business and it’s apparent they really care about what they’re doing and the families they are helping. I cannot recommend them enough to help through the difficult process of planning any services.
The sudden and unexpected passing of my husband left me in shock. I wanted to insure he was buried with full military honors. My daughter used google to locate a funeral home that specialized in military services. Mr. Daniel Symonds greatly exceeded my expectations at all levels. His compassion, empathy and appreciation for those who served was evident. He went above and beyond to make the entire process seamless and worry free for the entire family. When the services were concluded I felt my husband was given the respect and love he deserved for serving his country. I highly recommend Symonds-Madison Funeral Home to anyone during their time of need military or non military.
In reference to my husband's passing, my greatest joy is that he was honored so deeply and with such respect at Symonds Madison Funeral Home. My husband changed his mind in the last two weeks of life in that he wanted to be cremated in his Army uniform. I wanted him to have an Honor Guard send off. My son and I read to him introductions on the web home pages of three area funeral homes. Doug chose Symonds-Madison because it is "proudly Veteran and family owned." I couldn't be more pleased with his choice. Daniel, Joy, Penny, Val, Bob and all the staff made my dreams for his life celebration happen in less than a week---a beautiful and wonderful service.
