Symonds Madison is a family owned business. The owner and director Daniel lives by the model "Everyone that walks through the door is treated like family." I would give the business and owner Daniel a 10 stars but the highest you can leave is a 5. Our family couldn't be happier with the service you provided us during such a devastating time of loss. You understood our needs and went the extra mile to make sure everything was as perfect as it could of been. Daniel, our family is extremely grateful for the warmth and compassion you all showed us. My older brother recently passed away unexpectedly. Our family was in shock and needed to find a funeral director to help plan his services. We do not live in the Elgin area but wanted to find a funeral home near my brother's house. We called Symonds-Madison based solely on the online reviews and I'm really glad we did. Daniel was so helpful to our family during this terrible time. He explained what we should expect during each step of the process and answered all of our questions patiently. He was very responsive to our needs and always answered our calls and emails promptly. He was even able to accommodate some special requests that made my mother and niece feel more comfortable during the visitation.
I lost my son friday and Daniel and his wife joy were so comforting to me and my family. Even though my son was to be cremated he gave me a peaceful viewing and made the experience so joyful. They went above and beyond any expectations.
Daniel the funeral director has gone above and beyond to help with the entire process. He did an excellent job with my aunt's service last week. Two years ago he helped us with my father in law's service. It's hard to lose a loved one, but finding the right place is important.
Daniel made us feel like family the minute we walked through the door. He was very compassionate and made us feel comfortable in trusting him with our loved one. During such a difficult and emotional time, your mind is elsewhere; when so many things need to be handled. Daniel took care of everything for us and gave us the gift of time; time for us to be able to say goodbye to my mom without being rushed or having to worry about every little detail that needed to be done. My mom looked beautiful, the service was beautiful and the flowers were beautiful. Thank you Daniel and Joy for helping us through this difficult time, for handling all the details that are overwhelming for the family and for offering your support. I would give you more than 5 stars if it were possible. Rogelia Aranda
Dan has proven himself to be a mover of mountains to get things done right. As well as being a TRUE friend of those in the military. I will use him for my own funeral. Thank you Dan for all you do. For Bill Kopecki
My mom's memorial was on Jun 12, 2019. My sisters and I highly recommend Symonds-Madison funeral home in Elgin, IL if you want honesty, be treated with respect. Dan, Joy, Bob and Jim went above and beyond our expectation. Everything went well and more. They answered every questions we have with complete honesty. They will work with whatever budget you have. I love the homey but professional atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable and relax (Funeral-Memorial services always Stress & makes me anxious).
I met Joy (Owner) at a community service event. Joy is very knowledgeable, understanding and easy to work with.
Couldn’t be happier with the funeral service. Through these tough times you’ve made it very easy and simple. The owner was very kind and understanding. Thank you for having the Mora-Albarrán family.
