Sandra Marie Bolding, age 80, of Elgin, IL, passed away on November 17, 2024. She was born March 26, 1944 in Whitinsville, MA to her loving parents, Chester and Dorothy (née Desautels) Bonczek.

Sandra graduated from Shrewsbury High School, Class of 1962. She married Herbert Bolding on March 20, 1974, and they renewed their vows at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Ft. Devens, MA on August 23, 1980. As an Army wife, she and Herbert lived in multiple states and countries. She enjoyed being a housewife and creating a loving home for her husband and their children, for whom she dedicated her life to raising.

Sandra was lovable, intelligent, and strong-willed. She was also very meticulous and organized. She kept everything, including family and household records, paystubs, and her children’s school records going back to the early 70’s … every single report card. And, even with her eyes closed, she could recall the exact location of anything and everything in the house.

Sandra was a member of and attended mass at St. Laurence Catholic Church. She enjoyed watching HGTV, General Hospital, and reality TV shows. And she looked forward to gardening every spring.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Herbert Bolding; children, Michael, Lynda, and Brandi Bolding; grandchildren, SSG Steven Bolding, Kristopher Jackson, Matthew Bolding, Megan Jackson, Geoffrey Jackson, Alexandria Hennessy, Lyndsey McIntyre, and Maxwell Schaff; seven great-grandchildren; and two dogs, Sophie and Sadie.

Visitation will be 12:00pm until funeral service at 2:00pm, Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Symonds-Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park Street, Elgin, IL 60120. Fr. Bruce Ludeke will be officiating.

Interment will be private.
