Lucrecio L. Gonzalez

Lucrecio “Luc” L. Gonzalez, age 47, of Belvidere, IL, passed away on March 24, 2024. He was born December 19, 1976 in Michoacan, Mexico and was adopted by his loving parents, Lucrecio Gonzalez and Gloria Cantu.

Luc earned a masters degree in business administration, and worked in the food industry as the Director of Human Resources. He and his wife, Michele, were married for 25 years.

Luc had a great sense of humor and enjoyed talking to everyone he met. He loved spending time with his family, and was very proud of his sons.

Luc was a proud member of the Masons, and was a philanthropist. He loved to volunteer and get involved in his community. He also enjoyed grilling outdoors, and attending low rider car shows.

Luc was preceded in death by his father, Lucrecio Gonzalez; and his daughter, Natalia. He is survived by his wife, Michele; sons, D’Marco (Kylie), Ceaser, and Xzavier; mother, Gloria Cantu; in-laws, Jim and Rose Bastien; and brothers-in-law, Shawn and Joel.

Visitation will be 5:00pm to 9:00pm, Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at Symonds-Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park Street, Elgin, IL 60120.

Visitation will continue from 10:00am until funeral service at 11:00am, Wednesday, April 3, 2024. Michael J. Murschel will be officiating.

Interment to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, 1001 Villa Street, Elgin, IL 60120.
