Juan Carlos Palacios, age 68, of Elgin, IL, passed away on March 21, 2023. He was born November 2, 1954 in La Paz, Bolivia to his father, Carlos Palacios, and loving mother, Rosario Monje Palacios.

Aside from his life-long love and devotion to his family, he loved croissants, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, pears, Turano bread, Dunkin Donuts Dark Roast hot coffee, King's Hawaiian rolls, French bread, Twizzlers, red grapes, orange Jello, and Oberweis ice cream.

Juan is survived by his wife, Gloria, the love of his life of 35 years; sons, Thomas Palacios and Alfredo Palacios; daughters, Natalia Palacios and Nicole (Nicholas Mahan) Palacios; grandchildren, Nadia Palacios and Alex Palacios; and brothers Mike Palacios, Charlie Palacios, and Juan Jose Palacios.

Visitation will be 11:00am until funeral service with military honors at 2:00pm, Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Symonds-Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park Street, Elgin, IL 60120. Chaplain Matt Eaton will be officiating.

Interment will be private.
