Obituary
Jerry Dale Scaife Jr., age 64, of Elgin, IL, passed away on April 29, 2023. He was born December 20, 1958 in Beaumont, TX to his loving parents, Jerry Dale Scaife Sr. and Anne Scaife (née Liston).
Jerry worked as an A&P certified jet mechanic for United Airlines before retiring in 2020.
Jerry met his wife, Mary, while they were both working for United Airlines. She was talking with a group of people, and Jerry walked right up to her and said, “Hi, I’m Jerry. Would you like to have dinner with me?” They were happily married for 28 years.
Jerry was very caring. He loved to laugh, and make others laugh. He never met a stranger.
Jerry enjoyed music and guitars, and cooking.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Vivian Smith; brothers, Jay Gaudet and Robbie Scaife; and niece, Stephanie Merendino. He is survived by his wife, Mary Crevoiserat; sisters, Tina Gaudet and Paula Merendino; and nephews, Mattew Merendino and Scottie McComas.
Interment will be private.
