James Francis Davies, age 66, of Elgin, IL, passed away on December 31, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 29, 1957 in Burlington, WI to his loving parents, Robert and Patricia (née Tobin) Davies.

Jim graduated from University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1979. He met his wife of 35 years while working as a chef at Turnberry Country Club. They had three daughters together, Emma, Bridget, and Kelly.

Jim enjoyed bicycling, volunteering at, and hiking around both local and national parks. He was handy at home repair and an avid reader and traveler. He made really good soups, and loved to work outside in the garden–he grew very tall hollyhocks!

Jim was proud to retire early from United Airlines after 28 years of service.

Interment will be private.
