Higinio Jiménez, de 55 años, residente de Elgin, Illinois, falleció el 18 de marzo de 2025. Nació el 22 de diciembre de 1969 en México, hijo de sus queridos padres, Jesús Jiménez y Petra Castillo.

Higinio conoció a su esposa, Carolina, en casa de una tía. Al año siguiente, supieron que querían estar juntos. Estuvieron casados ​​28 años y juntos criaron cuatro hijos.

Higinio era muy cariñoso y siempre estaba ahí cuando alguien necesitaba ayuda, incluso si eso significaba trabajar duro y correr riesgos. Era muy ingenioso, con un maravilloso sentido del humor, y cualquiera con quien hablara se reía sin dudarlo.

Higinio tenía una gran imaginación. Le gustaba construir y hacer cosas desde cero. También disfrutaba viendo fútbol y películas, y estando con su familia y amigos.

A Higinio le sobreviven su esposa, Carolina Jiménez; y sus hijos, Carlos, Leonardo, Yasmari y Abril Jiménez.

El velatorio se realizará de 17:00 a 21:00 h el lunes 24 de marzo de 2025 y de 10:30 a 12:00 h el martes 25 de marzo de 2025 en la Funeraria Symonds-Madison, 305 Park Street, Elgin, IL 60120.

Higinio Jimenez, age 55, of Elgin, IL, passed away on March 18, 2025. He was born December 22, 1969 in Mexico to his loving parents, Jesus Jimenez and Petra Castillo.

Higinio met his wife, Carolina, at the house of an aunt. They knew within a year that they wanted to be together. They were married 28 years, and together raised four children.

Higinio was very caring, and was always there when someone needed help, even if it meant working hard and taking risks. He was very silly, with a wonderful sense of humor, and anyone he talked to was guaranteed to laugh.

Higinio had a good imagination. He liked building and making things from scratch. He also enjoyed watching soccer and movies, and being with family and friends.

Higinio is survived by his wife, Carolina Jimenez; and children, Carlos, Leonardo, Yasmari, and Abril Jimenez.

Visitation will be 5:00pm to 9:00pm, Monday, March 24, 2025, and 10:30am to 12:00pm, Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Symonds-Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park Street, Elgin, IL 60120.

Mass will be at 12:30pm, Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 270 Division Street, Elgin, IL 60120. Fr. Juan Gabriel James will be officiating.
