Fortino Rodriguez, age 62, of Elgin, IL, passed away on November 17, 2023. He was born August 12, 1961 in Mexico to his loving parents, Purificacion Rodriguez and Abacu Covarrubias.

Fortino was married to his wife, Maria, for 33 years, and together they raised three children. He enjoyed fishing, listening to music, and spending time with his loved ones. He also liked watching soccer; his favorite team was the Club de Fútbol Pachuca.

Fortino was patient and understanding, and always happy. He talked with his family about life, and loved laughing together with them. He enjoyed telling his children stories of the good times when he was younger, and he also looked forward to each new day as a good day. He never lost hope, and always said that things would get better.

Fortino is survived by his wife, Maria Rodriguez; children, Lizbeth, Daniel, and Jazmin; and siblings, Oliverio, Jose, and Diogenes.

Interment will be private.
