A lo largo de los años, compartieron innumerables recuerdos mientras construían una vida de la que estaban orgullosos de llamar suya.

Quienes conocían a Enrique admiraban su corazón amoroso, su profunda compasión y su extraordinaria determinación. Era un hombre trabajador y de carácter fuerte que sentía un gran orgullo por todo lo que hacía, incluida su apariencia. Conocido por su increíble paciencia y sentido del humor inolvidable, Enrique tenía un don para hacer reír a la gente y aportar luz a cualquier situación. Esas comidas se convirtieron en tradiciones familiares muy apreciadas que reflejaban el amor que vertía incluso en los actos más pequeños de bondad.

Sus hijos también llevan consigo recuerdos preciados que capturan perfectamente su espíritu amoroso. Su hijo, Henry, recordaba con cariño: "Un día, le vi actuando juguetonamente como si fuera a hacer la maleta y salir de casa. Sin pensarlo dos veces, recogí todo lo que pude encontrar, decidido a salir por la puerta e ir donde fuera que fuera mi padre." Fue un momento de la infancia que decía mucho sobre el vínculo que compartían.

Su hijo, Raúl, recordaba otra tradición favorita: "De niño, recuerdo que nos llevaba a mi hermano y a mí a las caballerizas con una pizza recién hecha de Rosati's, y veíamos a los caballos correr arriba y abajo por la pastura." Esas tardes tranquilas siguen siendo recordatorios preciados de un padre que sabía que los mejores momentos de la vida solían ser los más sencillos que pasaban juntos.

Le sobreviven su esposa, Ignacia Frausto; sus dos hijos, Raúl y Henry Jr. Urquizo; sus hijos de una relación anterior, Lalo, Claudia, Lorena y Rodolfo Urquizo; y sus hermanos, Virginia, Felix, Jose, Rosa, Marcos, Gloria, Tomasa, Concha y Chon. También deja tras de sí una gran cantidad de nietos, sobrinas, primos y queridos amigos que echarán de menos su espíritu vibrante.

La visita será de 17:00 a 21:00 horas, el lunes 20 de julio de 2026, y de 10:00 a 11:30 el martes 21 de julio de 2026, en la funeraria Symonds-Madison, 305 Park Street, Elgin, IL 60120.

La misa será a las 12:30 en la iglesia de St. Monica, 90 N. Kennedy Drive, Carpentersville, IL 60110.

El entierro tendrá lugar después en el cementerio de Bluff City, 945 Bluff City Boulevard, Elgin, IL 60120.

Enrique met the love of his life, Ignacia Frausto, in their hometown of Zacatecas, Mexico. Those who knew Enrique admired his loving heart, deep compassion, and remarkable determination. He was a hardworking and strong-willed man who took great pride in everything he did, including his appearance. He often reminded his children to meet life's challenges with love and laughter. Brave, respectful, and honorable, he was the kind of man who always stood by his word and loved his family with all his heart.

Enrique found his greatest joy outdoors, working with his hands and caring for the things he loved. He enjoyed gardening alongside his beloved wife, creating beautiful spaces around their home that reflected the pride he took in providing for his family. He also found peace at the horse stables, where horseback riding and caring for barn animals brought him happiness and a sense of purpose.

His family will forever treasure the simple moments they shared together. On mornings when he was off work, Enrique delighted his loved ones by preparing memorable breakfasts of waffles topped with fresh strawberries, eggs, and homemade hash browns. Those meals became cherished family traditions that reflected the love he poured into even the smallest acts of kindness.

His children also carry with them treasured memories that perfectly capture his loving spirit. His son, Henry, fondly recalled, "One day, I noticed him playfully acting like he was going to pack up a suitcase and leave the house. Without a second thought, I packed up everything I could find, determined to walk right out the door and go wherever my father was going." It was a childhood moment that spoke volumes about the bond they shared.

His son, Raul, remembered another favorite tradition: "As a child, I remember him taking me and my brother to the horse stables with a freshly made pizza from Rosati's, and we would watch the horses run up and down the grassy field." Those quiet afternoons remain treasured reminders of a father who knew that life's greatest moments were often the simplest ones spent together.

Enrique's legacy lives on through the love he gave so freely, the laughter he inspired, and the countless memories he created with those fortunate enough to call him husband, father, family, and friend. His strength, generosity, and joyful spirit will never be forgotten, and his love will continue to guide his family for generations to come.

Enrique was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Hugo Urquizo and Ricardo Urquizo; and brother, Alfredo Urquizo. He is survived by his wife, Ignacia Frausto; their two sons, Raul and Henry Jr. Urquizo; his children from a previous relationship, Lalo, Claudia, Lorena, and Rodolfo Urquizo; and siblings, Virginia, Felix, Jose, Rosa, Marcos, Gloria, Tomasa, Concha, and Chon. He also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will miss his vibrant spirit.

Visitation will be 5:00pm to 9:00pm, Monday, July 20, 2026, and 10:00am to 11:30am, Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at Symonds-Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park Street, Elgin, IL 60120.

Mass will be at 12:30pm at St. Monica Church, 90 N. Kennedy Drive, Carpentersville, IL 60110.

Interment to follow at Bluff City Cemetery, 945 Bluff City Boulevard, Elgin, IL 60120.
