Dolores Montes Tapia Obituary
Dolores Montes Tapia, age 92, of Elgin, IL, passed away on March 7, 2024. She was born April 9, 1931 in Chihuahua, Mexico to her loving parents, Antonio Montes and Eloisa Tapia.
Dolores was a wonderful, hardworking mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved to bake and cook, and especially enjoyed caring for her great-grandchildren.
Dolores was preceded in death by her sons, Javier Gonzales and Jorge Gonzales; and grandson, Jose Galetto. She is survived by her daughter, Margarita Miller; granddaughter, Elizabeth Galetto; and great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Quiroz, Isaac Quiroz, Jose Galetto, Elizabeth Galetto, and Erica Galetto.
Visitation will be 10:00am to 12:30pm, Thursday, March 14, 2024 at Symonds-Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park Street, Elgin, IL 60120.
Mass will be at 1:00pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 270 Division Street, Elgin, IL 60120. Monsignor Arquimedes Vallejo will be officiating.
Interment to follow at Dundee Township East Cemetery, 420 Dundee Avenue, East Dundee, IL 60118.
