David Samuel Pickett

David Samuel Pickett, age 69, of Elgin, IL, passed away on March 14, 2023. He was born October 8, 1953 in Chicago, IL to his loving parents, Burlie and Dorothy (née Goodnough) Smith.

David joined the United States Army in 1974, serving his beloved country for three years before being honorably discharged in 1977. He was stationed on the Berlin Wall.

David proudly owned his own business, Quality Pest Control, for almost 40 years.

David was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Nancy, Louise, and Janet; and brother, Jimmy. He is survived by his fiancée, Pat Berdine; sons, Ryan (Kara) Pickett, and Brandon (Elizabeth) Pickett; sister, Judy Strube; and grandchildren, Ela, Mackenzie, Leah, Rosabella, and Anniston.

Visitation will be 11:00am until funeral service with military honors at 3:00pm, Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Symonds-Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park Street, Elgin, IL 60120.
