Danilo Pasatiempo Parado, age 76, of Elgin, IL, known affectionately as "Danny" to his friends and family, passed away on July 21, 2026. He was born October 7, 1949 in the Philippines to his loving parents, Santiago Remolona Parado and Leonila Ursolino Pasatiempo.

Danilo's life was marked by charismatic charm, adventurous spirit, and a loving heart that deeply touched those who knew him. He was a beacon of support to his family and friends, illuminating their lives with his radiant personality and unfaltering love.

Danny dedicated over three decades to the field operations of Record Copy Services in Chicago, IL, before retiring in 2016. His supportive and adventurous spirit transcended his professional life and was evident in his hobbies and interests. He loved spending time with his family and friends, dancing, singing, and traveling whenever he could. In his quieter moments, he enjoyed watching movies and television series, playing poker, and taking trips to Las Vegas. Above all, Danny deeply cherished his family, who were the cornerstone of his vibrant and fulfilling life.

Danilo is survived by his loving wife, Inocenta Martires; his children, Dante (Monica) Parado, Madelyn (Tony) Davila, and Tina (Marco) Selga; his grandchildren, Justin Dela Cruz, Jonathan Dela Cruz, Daniel Davila, Sofia Rivera, Stefanie Rivera, Troy Selga, Sydney Selga, Liam Parado, Xander Parado, and Adrian Parado; and his siblings, Annie Parado, Angelo Parado, Jun Parado, and Elvie Parado. He was preceded in death by his parents, Santiago Parado and Leonila Pasatiempo; and his siblings, Atilano Parado and Madelyn Parado.

Visitation will be 5:00pm to 9:00pm, Friday, July 24, 2026, at Symonds-Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park Street, Elgin, IL 60120.

Visitation will continue from 10:30am until funeral mass at 11:00am, Saturday, July 25, 2026, at St. Thomas More Church, 215 Thomas More Drive, Elgin, IL 60123. Rev. Willie Tuquib will be officiating.

Interment will be private.
