Consepcion Valles Mendoza, age 61, of Elgin, IL, passed away on July 12, 2024. She was born December 7, 1962 in Santiago Papasquiaro, Durango, Mexico to her loving parents, Hermilo Valles and Andrea Mendoza.

Consepcion and her beloved, Leonel Goytia, were together for 30 years, and together had eight children. She was a loving and friendly person, and she had a wonderful sense of humor. She was also very hardworking.

Consepcion loved animals very much, especially cats and dogs, and loved plants and flowers. She enjoyed sharing stories with family and friends, many of which were quite surprising. Her children have fond childhood memories of good times spent together with mom and dad. They want everyone to always remember her happy and strong.

Consepcion is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her beloved, Leonel Goytia; children, Arisbel, Ivan, Jaime, Hermilo, Silberio, Daisy, Andrea, and Rosio; grandchildren, Lincoln, Xochitl, and Melina; and several siblings.

Visitation will be 5:00pm to 9:00pm, Thursday, July 25, 2024, and 11:00am to 12:00pm, Friday, July 26, 2024 at Symonds-Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park Street, Elgin, IL 60120.

Mass will be at 12:30pm, Friday, July 26, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 270 Division Street, Elgin, IL 60120. Fr. Juan Gabriel James will be officiating.

Interment to follow at Bluff City Cemetery, 945 Bluff City Boulevard, Elgin, IL 60120.
