Bonnie S. Perkins, age 72, of Chicago, IL, passed away on December 29, 2025. She was born August 14, 1953 in Elgin, IL to her parents, Loren and Elaine (née Carapanos) Perkins.
Bonnie began her professional journey in healthcare, earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Rush University. She later pursued her passion for business by obtaining an MBA from DePaul University. Her career path reflected her drive and ambition—qualities that defined her both professionally and personally. After her early years in nursing, Bonnie transitioned into finance, where she built a successful and meaningful career that she took great pride in.
Hardworking and focused, Bonnie never lost sight of the importance of loyalty and connection. She was supportive of her friends and family, always present with a listening ear or wise advice. Her strength of character and unwavering presence left a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to know her.
Outside work, Bonnie loved to read, was a passionate moviegoer, and had a keen eye for antiques. She delighted in traveling—especially through South America—and spent time biking, swimming, and cooking with creativity and care. Above all, she adored her cats, who brought her constant companionship and comfort.
Bonnie will be remembered for her intelligence, her determination, and her quiet yet fierce devotion to the people and causes she cared about.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Mark Perkins. She is survived by her siblings, Daniel Perkins and Sally Anderson; and nieces and nephews, Grace Pearson, Lucas Perkins, and Taylor Paskin.
Bonnie will be interred at 2:00pm, Friday, January 2, 2026, at Bluff City Cemetery, 945 Bluff City Boulevard, Elgin, IL 60120.
