Willie W. Isabell

Willie W. Isabell, age 79, of Crystal Lake, IL, passed away on July 1, 2023. He was born July 5, 1943 in Hickman, KY to his loving parents, Walter and Lucille (née Robinson) Isabell.

After graduating high school, Willie joined the United States Army. After being honorably discharged, he worked for many years as a machinist at Chicago Rawhide in Elgin before retiring.

Willie loved his cars, and riding with the Elgin Blazers motorcycle club. He instilled a hard work ethic and strong family values in his children and grandchildren. He was called “Pops” by many in the community. He was always kind and touched many souls in his lifetime.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, David Lee Isabell. He is survived by his children, Terril (Sunny) Bell, Caprice Bell, Breann Isabell, and Eric Redmon; siblings, Lula B. (Johnnie) Weaver, Charlene Rainey, Emma J. Epps, Gladys Sherod, Helen Stewart, Susan Swift, and Clifford Isabell; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 2:00pm until funeral service with military honors at 4:00pm, Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Symonds-Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park Street, Elgin, IL 60120. Pastor Walter H. Blalark will be officiating.

Interment will be at Ft. Sheridan National Cemetery, Vattman Road, Lake Bluff, IL 60044.
