Valerie June Busse

Valerie June Busse, age 64, of South Elgin, IL, passed away on May 27, 2025. She was born June 17, 1960 in Elgin, IL to her loving parents, Louis and Irene (née Benhart) Busse.

Valerie attended St. John’s Lutheran Elementary School, and graduated from Elgin High School, Class of 1978. She enjoyed live music and dancing with her friends. She was a true fighter who never gave up, facing life’s challenges head-on with fierce determination. She was always questioning, always seeking truth, and always yearning to understand the world more deeply.

Valerie was preceded in death by her parents. The youngest of five, she leaves behind memories for her siblings, Lloyd (Bonnie) Busse, Barbara (Charles) Cizek, Linda (Richard) Schramer, and Wanda (Tim) Drafts; nieces and nephews, Jeff, Julie, Jodi, Jason, and Joshua; longtime friends; and her cat, Miley.

Interment will be private.
