Scott John Nowak

Scott John Nowak, age 46, of Lake in the Hills, IL, passed away on October 21, 2023. He was born July 23, 1977 in Elgin, IL to his loving parents, Jerome and Renee (née Motyka) Nowak.

Scott graduated from Elgin High School, Class of 1996. He attended a trade school to learn carpentry, and worked as a carpenter.

Scott was a good person. He liked playing guitar and drawing, and loved watching sports. He also enjoyed playing practical jokes on his sister.

Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter and Mary Motyka, and Emily and Jack Tryboski; uncle, Robert Regilio; and aunt, Barbara Regilio. He is survived by his parents, Jerome and Renee Nowak; siblings, Stacy and Shane; cousins, Lisa Regilio and Lynn Dierkling; and nephew, Wilder.

Visitation will be 5:00pm to 9:00pm, Friday, November 3, 2023, and will continue from 10:00am until funeral service at 11:00am, Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Symonds-Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park Street, Elgin, IL 60120. Pastor Larry Dieffenbach will be officiating. The family asks those attending the visitation to please wear either a sports jersey or your favorite team colors; anything but Cubs, as Scott was a White Sox fan all the way!
