Scott William Hatfield Sr., age 56, of Elgin, IL, passed away on April 22, 2026. He was born September 18, 1969 in Melrose Park, IL to his loving parents, Jimmy and Martha (née Hull) Hatfield.

Scott graduated from Glenbard North High School, Class of 1987. He was married to the love of his life, Heather, for 33 wonderful years. Their bond was one of deep devotion, laughter, and unwavering partnership—a true testament to enduring love.

Scott was known for his silly spirit and his ability to light up any room. He was the life of the party, always ready with a joke, a story, or a smile that brought people together. Beyond his humor, he had a generous heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

He found joy in life’s simple pleasures: spending peaceful days fishing, expressing himself through music on the guitar and drums, and tending to his garden with care and pride. These passions reflected his vibrant personality and love for both creativity and the outdoors.

Scott will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, but his laughter, kindness, and spirit will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Heather Hatfield; sons, Scott Hatfield Jr. and Michael (Jennifer) Hatfield; sister, Sherri Hatfield; grandchildren, Gabriel, Jaelanie, Keilahni, and Dominic;; niece, Kelli (Antonio) Sanchez; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Interment will be private.
