Scott James Cullen, age 42, of Crystal Lake, IL, passed away on May 23, 2024. He was born March 22, 1982 in Elgin, IL to his loving parents, Kirk and Kristy (née McGreevy) Cullen.

Scott graduated from Sun Valley High School, Class of 2000. He worked as a heavy equipment operator, and was a member of Union Local 150.

Scott adored his son, Tommy, and his Bernese mountain dog, Ron. He also loved his extended family, and was a wonderful and generous uncle. He had a great sense of humor and was very quick witted. He was hardworking, very smart, and loved his job.

Scott enjoyed snowboarding, hiking with his dog, cooking, and fishing.

Scott was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Ethel McGreevy; paternal grandfather, James Cullen; and uncle, John Cullen. He is survived by his son, Thomas Cullen; parents, Kirk and Kristy Cullen; sister, Nicole Cullen; paternal grandmother, Carol (Rich) Veenhius; aunts and uncles, Jerry (Sherry) McGreevy, Karen (Lee) Meyer, James (Janell) Cullen, Thomas Cullen, and Kim Cullen; niece, Kennedy Cullen-Prieto; and several first and second cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00pm to 6:00pm, Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at the Bull Valley Country Club, 1311 Club Road, Woodstock, IL 60098.

Interment will be private.
