Ruby Lucille Blenkle, age 93, of Hampshire, IL, passed away on August 9, 2024. She was born May 25, 1931 in Phoenix, AZ to her loving parents, Edward and Luella (née Donithan) Krell.

Ruby worked for the Elgin Watch Factory, as a clock maker, assembler, and painter of the watch faces. She also volunteered at St. Joseph Hospital.

Ruby was a very caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Percy Cannon; second husband, Harold Blenkle; son, Michael Cannon; and siblings, Lorraine (Donnie Lee) Krell, Harold Jr. (Kathy) Blenkle, and Peter Blenkle. She is survived by her grandchildren, Raymond Cannon and Allison Hogan; great-grandchildren, William Cannon, Colt Cannon, Ezra Hogan, and Kaden Hogan; stepchildren, Ernie (Sam) Blenkle, Paul (Deanne) Blenkle, Jean (Steven) Chappa, and Jill (John) Misitano; good friends, Gary Eiklor and Dorothy Izewski; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 10:00am until funeral service at 11:30am, Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Symonds-Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park Street, Elgin, IL 60120. Sally Medearis will be officiating.

Interment will be private.
