Robert Thomas Simonini Jr, age 80, of Wheaton, IL, passed away on January 15, 2025. He was born November 26, 1944 in Elgin, IL to his loving parents, Robert Thomas Simonini Sr. and Betty Margene (née Guth) Simonini.

Bob met his wife, Karen, in high school. They were married 35 years before her passing in 2010.

After attending high school, Bob took several classes at Northern Illinois University before joining the Navy. He was honorably discharged in 1971. He worked for TC Industries in Crystal Lake, IL for 49 years. Bob had a strong work ethic and cared deeply for his co-workers. 

He loved animals, gardening, puzzling  and bird watching. Bob was also an avid golfer. He enjoyed drinking coffee, and Pepsi with 3 maraschino cherries. He was strong-willed, one of the great attributes he passed on to his daughters. He liked rooting for his favorite teams, the Chicago Bears, Blackhawks and White Sox, never giving up on them even when they were losing.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Karen Elizabeth (née Keller) Simonini. He is survived by his daughters, Kristin (Hank) Deveikis and Tracie (John) Overby; siblings, Greg (Tracy) Simonini, Dennis (Barb) Simonini, Mark (Chiquita) Simonini, and Victoria (James) Blank; grandson, Dominic Overby; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be 5:00pm to 9:00pm, Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Symonds-Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park Street, Elgin, IL 60120.
