Pamela Jean Lose

Pamela Jean Lose, age 80, of Elgin, IL, passed away on December 18, 2024. She was born September 14, 1944 in Cairo, IL to her loving parents, Alvin and Ellen (née Homes) Wilson.

After graduating from high school, Pam worked as a baker for various bakeries, and also helped her husband with the bookkeeping at his auto repair shop. She and her husband were married 64 years, and together raised two children.

Pam loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and attending their various activities, especially granddaughter Alyssa’s basketball games. She enjoyed baking for her family, and was known for her chocolate chip cookies.

In her free time, Pam enjoyed going to the casinos with her sister, Mary, and watching her favorite soap operas and Lifetime TV.

Pam was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and four sisters. She is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Richard J. Lose; children, Cathy (Terry) Morgan and Larry (Shelley) Lose; sister, Leda Kronemeyer; brother-in-law, Glen (Patsy) Lose; grandchildren, Cory (Tim) Crenshaw, Brian Morgan, Melissa (TJ) Plodzien, and Jared Lose; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Nate, Brayden, Caylie, and Willa; special friend, Judy Oswald; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

A memorial will be held from 10:00am until funeral service at 11:00am, Friday, January 10, 2025, at Symonds-Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park Street, Elgin, IL 60120. Reverend William Yonker will be officiating.

Interment to follow at Bluff City Cemetery, 945 Bluff City Boulevard, Elgin, IL 60120.
