Linda Susan Rusenovich, age 64, of Elgin, IL, passed away on March 1, 2022. She was born in 1957 in Elgin, IL to her loving parents, Edmund Stumme and Frances (née Beck) Diehl.

Linda attended St. John’s Lutheran School, Elgin High School, Wheaton College, and University of Illinois Chicago. She worked as a WIC Nutritionist at the Well Child Center in Elgin for 15 years.

Linda met her husband Anthony at a singles’ group at South Park Church in Park Ridge. They wed on May 17, 1986 and were married for 35 years.

Linda had a strong faith in God. She loved her family and was a devoted wife and mother. She was also very service oriented, volunteering her time often.

Linda loved attending concerts and going on family camping trips across the United States. She also enjoyed reading, writing, playing music, gardening, cooking for her family, and various handicrafts, such as knitting, crochet, sewing, and quilting. She combined two of her passions, writing and quilting, when she wrote a story about making a quilt for her daughter, Paula. Her story was recently published in the national magazine, Country Woman.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Edmund and Frances; aunt, Ruth (Martin) Plote; and cousin, Elvera Stumme. She is survived by her husband, Anthony; children, Paula, Michael, Jana Lynn, and Robert; brother, Phil Stumme; sister, Beverly Forster; cousin, James M. Plote; and nieces, Aviel Forster, and Serena (J.D.) Laurich.

Visitation will be 3:00pm until funeral service at 6:00pm, Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at Symonds-Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park Street, Elgin, IL 60120. Rev. Steve Maske will be officiating.

Mourners are encouraged to review the funeral home COVID-19 public health policies ahead of time.
