Laverne E. Schreiner, age 100, of South Elgin, IL, passed away on December 18, 2024. She was born July 26, 1924 in Chicago, IL to her loving parents, Paul and Emma (née Kantner) Golchert.

Laverne and her husband, John, wed on May 24, 1947, and were married for 50 years before his passing in May, 1997. She worked for C/R Industries for 30 years, then for JCPenney for 10 years before retiring.

Laverne had a very caring attitude, and enjoyed serving in her church.

Laverne was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Schreiner; and seven sisters. She is survived by her children, Joanne (Steven) Fletcher, Nancy (late Bill) Musch, Cathy (Doug) Lindley, and John (Vicki) Schreiner; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A private interment will take place at Windridge Memorial Park, 7014 S Rawson Bridge Road, Cary, IL 60013.
