Obituary

Laura Viverito, age 60, of Elgin, IL, passed away on August 3, 2023. She was born May 30, 1963 in Chicago, IL to her loving mother, Emma Witt.

Laura worked as an assistant manager of a grocery store. She met her husband, Tony, at work. He tried for over a year to get her to go on a date. Laura finally accepted and the rest is history. He knows he married beyond his means … she was a hottie! They were married for 40 wonderful years. Tony fondly remembers the day they were sitting in the doctor’s office when they learned that they were having twins. With four other children already at home? “Oh, my!” But it was worth it. She loved her family dearly.

Loved ones will remember how kind, helpful, and positive Laura was. She was always taking care of not just her children and grandchildren, but often the neighborhood kids when needed. And she was quite the Cubs fan. “Go, Cubs, Go!”

Laura was preceded in death by her mother, Emma Witt. She is survived by her husband, Tony Viverito; children, Keith, Erin, Jess, Brian, Tyler, and Cory; brother, Cliff Gobreski; and grandchildren, Aubrey, Cole, Ella, Jace, and Freya.

Interment will be private.

Final arrangements entrusted to Symonds-Madison Funeral Home. For more information, call 847-741-1128.
