Laura Lopez, 70 años de Elgin, IL, falleció el día 22 de Mayo del 2023. Ella nació el 19 de Febrero de 1953 en Edinburg, TX de sus amados padres Ricardo y Romana (Salinas) Figueroa.
Laura trabajó cómo inspectora en Senior Flexonics por más de 30 años. Era muy cariñosa y responsable, y le encantaba estar rodeada de su familia y amigos.
A Laura le encantaba viajar y verse con su familia tanto en México como aquí en Elgin. Vivió una vida maravillosa y tuvo la fortuna de cumplir su sueño de viajar a Egipto e Israel.
A Laura le preceden en la muerte, sus padres Ricardo y Ramona Figueroa; y sus sobrinos Nelson Feliciano y Miguel Benavides.
Le sobreviven sus hijos Domingo (Cheryl), Ricardo, Valeria (Gerardo Gutierrez), y Laura Z. (Victor M Vargas); hermanos, Gloria Ortegon, Maria Sanchez, America (Juan) Davila, Martha (Alberto) Martinez, Severa (Jorge) Feliciano; y Agustin Guadalupe Figueroa; nietos, Giovanni, Laura Kayla, Adrian, Nicholas, Benjamin, Anthony, y Joaquin; y muchos primos, sobrinas y sobrinos.
El velorio será el día 25 de Mayo del 2023 de las 5:00pm a las 9:00pm en la funeraria Symonds-Maddison, 305 Park Street, Elgin, IL 60120.
La misa se llevará a cabo el viernes 26 de Mayo del 2023 a las 11:00am en la Iglesia Católica St José, 270 Division Street, Elgin, IL 60120. Monseñor Arquímedes Vallejo será el oficiante.
El entierro será después de la misa en el cementerio Mount Hope, 1001 Villa Street, Elgin, IL 60120.

Laura Lopez, age 70, of Elgin, IL, passed away on May 22, 2023. She was born February 19, 1953 in Edinburg, TX to her loving parents, Ricardo and Romana (née Salinas) Figueroa.
Laura worked as an inspector at Senior Flexonics for over 30 years. She was very caring and responsible, and loved being surrounded by her family and friends.
Laura enjoyed traveling, and visiting with family and friends, both in Mexico and here in Elgin. She lived a wonderful life, and was fortunate to be able to fulfill her lifelong dream of traveling to both Egypt and Israel.
Laura was preceded in death by her parents, Ricardo and Romana Figueroa; and nephews, Miguel Martinez, Nelson Feliciano, and Miguel Benavides.
She is survived by her children, Domingo (Cheryl), Ricardo, Valeria (Gerardo Gutierrez), and Laura Z. (Victor M. Vargas); siblings, Gloria Ortegon, Maria Sanchez, America (Juan) Davila, Martha (Alberto) Martinez, Severa (Jorge) Feliciano; and Agustin Guadalupe Figueroa; grandchildren, Giovanni, Laura, Kayla, Adrian, Nicholas, Benjamin, Anthony, and Joaquin; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be 5:00pm to 9:00pm, Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Symonds-Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park Street, Elgin, IL 60120.
Mass will be held at 11:00am, Friday, May 26, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 270 Division Street, Elgin, IL 60120. Monsignor Arquimedes Vallejo will be officiating.
Interment to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, 1001 Villa Street, Elgin, IL 60120.
