Guadalupe Ortiz, Arias, 61 años, de Elgin, IL, falleció el 12 de octubre de 2025. Nació el 12 de noviembre de 1963 en Orizaba, Veracruz, México, de sus padres, José Vera Álvarez y Otilia Arias González.

Guadalupe llenaba de luz, risas y un toque de alegría cada habitación que visitaba. Conocida por su vibrante sentido del humor y su famoso vocabulario, vivió su vida con alegría, resiliencia y corazón.

Encontraba la felicidad en las cosas pequeñas,buscando tesoros en ventas de garaje, bailaba y cantaba mostrando su alegría, y sumergiéndose en películas y telenovelas. Su amor por plantar flores era más que un pasatiempo: era una expresión de la belleza que cultivaba a su alrededor.

Uno de los momentos más inolvidables en la vida de Guadalupe llegó cuando recibió las llaves de su propia casa. Con su hija a su lado, su rostro se iluminó con una mezcla de incredulidad y pura felicidad: un sueño cumplido, un logro alcanzado.

Guadalupe será recordada por su amor incondicional, su risa contagiosa y su inquebrantable capacidad para encontrar alegría en los momentos cotidianos. Deja recuerdos que atesoraremos para siempre.

Guadalupe Ortiz Arias, age 61, of Elgin, IL, passed away on October 12, 2025. She was born November 12, 1963 in Orizaba, Veracruz, Mexico to her parents, Jose Vera Alvarez and Otilia Arias Gonzalez.

Guadalupe brought light, laughter, and a little spice to every room she entered. Known for her vibrant sense of humor and her famously colorful vocabulary, she lived her life with joy, resilience, and heart.

She found happiness in the little things—hunting for treasures at garage sales, dancing and singing like nobody was watching, and immersing herself in movies and telenovelas. Her love for planting flowers was more than a hobby—it was an expression of the beauty she cultivated all around her.

One of the most unforgettable moments in Guadalupe’s life came when she received the keys to her very own home. With her daughter by her side, her face lit up with a mix of disbelief and pure happiness—a dream realized, a milestone earned.

Guadalupe will be remembered for her fierce love, her contagious laughter, and her unwavering ability to find joy in everyday moments. She leaves behind memories that will be cherished forever.

Guadalupe was preceded in death by her mother, Otilia Arias; sister, Marisol Ortiz Arias; niece, Kristel Vera; and nephew, Christian Vicente Olvera Vera. She is survived by her children, Rafael Ernesto Vera Ortiz, José Francisco Vera Ortiz, Luis Alberto Vera Ortiz, and Getzani Lopez Ortiz; siblings, Graciela (Enrique) Gonzalez, Cristina Vera Arias, and Armando Vera Arias; grandchildren, Megan Abril Vera Lopez, Carolina Elektra Vera Lopez, Fhernando Iker Vera Ortega, Ernesto Rebel Vera Ortega, Zoé Victoria Vera Ortega, Mía Guadalupe Vera Malaga, and Diego Martinez; and nieces and nephews, Marisol Vera, Graciela Ortiz, Enrique Ortiz, Nelly Rosario Vera Lara, Crístina Guadalupe Vera Lara, Jose Rodolfo Vera, and Martin Vera.
