Giancarlo Robles Sanchez, age 47, of Schaumburg, IL, passed away on June 10, 2025. He was born December 22, 1977 in Rio Piedras, San Juan, PR to his loving parents, Jose Joaquin Robles Colon and Lydia Esther Sanchez Cabrera.

Giancarlo‬‭ will‬‭ be‬‭ remembered‬‭ as‬‭ a‬‭ man‬‭ of‬‭ quiet‬‭ strength,‬‭ genuine‬‭ kindness,‬‭ and‬ enduring‬‭ generosity.‬‭ He‬‭ possessed‬‭ a‬‭ gentle‬‭ spirit‬‭ and‬‭ an‬‭ innate‬‭ ability‬‭ to‬‭ make‬‭ those‬ around‬‭ him‬‭ feel‬‭ valued.‬‭ Throughout‬‭ his‬‭ career‬‭ in‬‭ the‬‭ restaurant‬‭ and‬‭ food‬‭ service‬ industry,‬‭ Giancarlo‬‭ was‬‭ committed‬‭ to‬‭ creating‬‭ welcoming‬‭ environments,‬‭ always‬‭ striving‬ to‬‭ offer‬‭ comfort‬‭ and‬‭ hospitality‬‭ to‬‭ others.‬‭ His‬‭ dedication‬‭ remained‬‭ unwavering,‬‭ even‬‭ in‬ times‬‭ of‬‭ personal‬‭ hardship.‬

‭Outside‬‭ of‬‭ his‬‭ professional‬‭ role,‬‭ Giancarlo‬‭ had‬‭ diverse‬‭ interests.‬‭ He‬‭ was‬‭ an‬‭ avid‬ baseball‬‭ fan,‬‭ cheering‬‭ for‬‭ the‬‭ Cubbies.‬‭ He‬‭ found‬‭ joy‬‭ in‬‭ technology,‬‭ automotive‬ innovation,‬‭ and‬‭ photography,‬‭ often‬‭ capturing‬‭ life’s‬‭ unique‬‭ moments‬‭ through‬‭ a‬‭ unique‬ and‬‭ thoughtful‬‭ lens.‬‭ Whether‬‭ reading‬‭ about‬‭ the‬‭ latest‬‭ tech,‬‭ fine-tuning‬‭ his‬‭ car‬‭, or enjoying‬‭ his‬‭ mother’s‬‭ home-cooked‬‭ meals,‬‭ Giancarlo‬‭ approached‬‭ life‬‭ with‬‭ curiosity‬‭ and‬ appreciation‬‭ for‬‭ the‬‭ everyday.‬

‭Above‬‭ all,‬‭ Giancarlo‬‭ was‬‭ a‬‭ devoted‬‭ father.‬‭ His‬‭ children‬‭, Noah‬‭ and‬‭ Emilia‬‭, were‬‭ the‬ center‬‭ of‬‭ his‬‭ life.‬‭ He‬‭ took‬‭ immense‬‭ pride‬‭ in‬‭ fatherhood,‬‭ and‬‭ his‬‭ love,‬‭ guidance‬‭ and‬ support‬‭ were‬‭ constants‬‭ in‬‭ their‬‭ lives‬.

‭Giancarlo was‬‭ preceded‬‭ in‬‭ death‬‭ by‬‭ his‬‭ maternal‬‭ grandparents,‬‭ Maria‬‭ Cabrera‬‭ and‬‭ Manuel‬ Sanchez;‬‭ paternal‬‭ grandparents,‬‭ Rosita‬‭ Colon‬‭ and‬‭ Joaquin‬‭ Robles;‬‭ his‬‭ uncle‬‭, Raul‬ Sanchez;‬‭ and‬‭ his‬‭ cousin,‬‭ Yatniel‬‭ Sanchez.‬

He‬‭ is‬‭ survived‬‭ by‬‭ his‬‭ beloved‬‭ children,‬‭ Noah‬‭ and‬‭ Emilia;‬‭ his‬‭ mother‬‭, Lydia‬ Sanchez;‬‭ his‬‭ father‬‭, Jose‬‭ Robles;‬‭ his‬‭ sister,‬‭ Lydmaris‬‭ Robles-Sanchez;‬‭ and his‬‭ brother,‬ Selwyn‬‭ Robles-Sanchez;‬‭ as‬‭ well‬‭ as‬‭ numerous‬‭ aunts,‬‭ uncles,‬‭ cousins‬‭ and‬‭ close‬‭ friends‬ who‬‭ will‬‭ continue‬‭ to‬‭ honor‬‭ his‬‭ memory.‬

A memorial will be held from 1:00pm until funeral service at 3:00, Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Symonds-Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park Street, Elgin, IL 60120. Fr. Robert Camacho will be officiating.

Interment will be private.
