Eliu D. Orozco Jr., age 51, of Elgin, IL, passed away on February 27, 2026. He was born March 26, 1974 in Mexico to his loving parents, Elizabeth Jain and Eliu Orozco Sr.

For many years, Eliu worked in Information Technology for School District U-46, where his technical skill, reliability, and strong work ethic made him a valued colleague and trusted problem-solver. He approached his work with diligence and humility, always willing to lend a hand when someone needed help.

Eliu shared 29 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Patricia, whom he met at church. Their faith formed the foundation of their life together, and Eliu’s love for Jesus shaped the way he lived each day—with generosity, compassion, and a sincere desire to serve others.

Known for his dry sense of humor and thoughtful perspective, Eliu enjoyed meaningful conversations and never shied away from strong or engaging discussion topics. He had a gift for bringing people together, whether around a dinner table or in conversation.

In his free time, Eliu enjoyed antiquing, cooking, and hosting friends and family. He found joy in welcoming others into his home, sharing meals, stories, and laughter.

Eliu will be remembered for his deep faith, his tireless work ethic, his quiet wit, and the love he shared with those around him. His life touched many, and he will be greatly missed by his wife Patricia, his family, friends, church community, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Eliu was preceded in death by his father, Eliu Orozco Sr. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Orozco; son, Habacuc L. Orozco; mother, Elizabeth Jain; siblings, Axa Orozco and Yahir Orozco; nieces and nephews, Axel Orozco, Yahir, Gael, Julio, Ramses, Matthew Rivera, Alex Rivera, and Caleb Rivera; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial vsitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, Friday, March 6, 2026, followed by a funeral service at 11:00am, Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Elgin Evangelical Free Church, 1900 Big Timber Road, Elgin, IL 60123.  Luncheon will follow.

Interment will be private.
