Edgardo Rivera, age 63, of Elgin, IL, passed away on April 30, 2024. He was born November 19, 1960 in Chicago, IL to his loving parents, Angel Rivera Denis and Maria O. Rivera.

Edgardo was best known for the vivid stories he would share. He was one to never shy away from a meal, ever. And he was a huge WWE wrestling fan.

Edgardo was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Migdalia Rivera, Vanessa Rivera, Geraldine Salazar, Brunilda Rivera. He is survived by his son, Jonathan Watkins; siblings, Angel (Maria) Rivera, Orlando (Norma) Rivera, Ray Rivera, Jose (Jeanette) Rivera, Magnolia Rivera, Robinson Rivera, and Laura (Santos Y. Vera III) Vera; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and three fur-nephews, Ralo Tots Vera, Rizzo Rock Vera, Rocco Doodle Vera.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Kimball Avenue United Church of Christ, 3413 W. Medill Avenue, Chicago, IL 60647. Reverend Bruce Ray will be officiating.

Interment will be private.
