Dragomir Stojkovich Obituary

Dragomir Stojkovich, age 80, of Elgin, IL, passed away on August 2, 2022.  He was born August 23, 1941 in Yugoslavia to his loving parents, Stojan Stojanovic and Dobrija Randjelovic.

Dragomir joined the United States Army in 1964, serving for three years before being honorably discharged in 1967.  He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.

He met Linda Boyschou while they were working at the John Hancock building.  They were married for 51 years before her passing in October, 2020.

Dragomir was very social, and always enjoyed making people smile.  He was a wonderful provider, and worked hard his whole life to support his family.  In his spare time, he enjoyed playing golf.

Dragomir was preceded in death by his parents; and his beloved wife, Linda Stojkovich.  He is survived by his sons, Mark (Amy) Stojkovich and Chad (Jennifer) Stojkovich; and grandchildren, Quinn, Jordan, and Sophia.

Visitation will be 5:00pm to 9:00pm, with prayers at 7:00pm, Friday, August 19, 2022 at Symonds-Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park Street, Elgin, IL 60120.

Mourners are encouraged to review the funeral home COVID-19 public health policies ahead of time.

Visitation will continue from 10:00am until funeral service at 11:00am, Saturday, August 20, 2022. Father Mile Subotic will be officiating.

Interment with military honors to follow at Bluff City Cemetery, 945 Bluff City Boulevard, Elgin, IL 60120.  Afterwards, a luncheon will be provided.  Details of time and place will be provided at the service and at graveside.
