Denise Gomez Obituary
Denise Gomez, age 45, of Elgin, IL, passed away on October 17, 2024. She was born July 11, 1979 in Elgin, IL to her loving parents, Nimse Gomez and Maria Lourdes (née Ramos) Martinez.
Denise graduated from Elgin High School, Class of 1997. She had a great sense of humor, and was selfless and unwavering. She was very loving and cherished her family and friends. She had a green thumb and was quite the plant nurturer.
Denise is survived by her sons, Anthony Contreras, Cristiano Oquendo, and Ezekiel Oquendo; parents, Nimse Gomez and Maria Lourdes (Javier) Martinez; sisters, Jessica Martinez and Gabriella Martinez; aunt, Maria Guadalupe Ramos; and nephews, Mateo Herrera, Derek Zavala, and Liam Zavala.
Visitation will be 5:00pm until funeral service at 7:00pm, Friday, October 25, 2024, at River City Church, 3450 Swenson Avenue, St. Charles, IL 60174. Pastor Mel Oquendo will be officiating.
Mass will be at 11:00am, Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 270 Division Street, Elgin, IL 60120. Monsignor Arquimedes Vallejo will be officiating.
Interment to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, 1001 Villa Street, Elgin, IL 60120.
