Delmo Enrique Castillo Ramirez, age 48, of Elgin, IL, passed away on July 9, 2022. He was born June 15, 1974 in Cabricán, Quetzaltenango, Guatemala to his loving parents, Vicelino de Jesus Castillo Maldonado and Francisca Angelina Ramirez Areaga.

Enrique worked as an assembler of recycled electronics for HOBI International. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed playing soccer, riding his bike, watching television and action movies, and listening to Spanish music.

Enrique was a very cheerful, kind, and affectionate person. He was always ready and willing to help others when a need arose.

Enrique was preceded in death by his father, Vicelino de Jesus Castillo Maldonado. He is survived by his wife, Elida Marilu Ovalle Matias; unborn child; mother, Francisca Angelina Ramirez Areaga; four brothers; and three sisters.

Visitation will be 5:00pm to 9:00pm, with funeral service at 7:00pm, Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Symonds-Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park Street, Elgin, IL 60120. Jerardo Cruz will be officiating.

Mourners are encouraged to review the funeral home COVID-19 public health policies ahead of time.
