Debra Kay Roberts, age 66, of Carpentersville, IL, passed away on February 2, 2025. She was born December 15, 1958 in Elgin, IL to her loving parents, Henry Washington Jr. and Hattie Mae (née Douglas) Washington.

Debra worked at the Elgin Mental Health Center. She and her husband, Harry, were married 24 years. She loved and cared for her husband and their three children, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed shopping, listening to music, and tending her houseplants.

Debra was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Henry Washington; and sisters, Janet and Stacy Washington. She is survived by her husband, Harry Roberts; children, William, Chante, and Justin; siblings, Ikie, Michael, Robert, Wayne, George, and Teresa; and grandchildren, Amari, Janiyah, Lena, Justus, Benjamin, Elizabeth, and Mia.

Visitation will be 9:00am until funeral service at 11:00am, Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Symonds-Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park Street, Elgin, IL 60120. Pastor Charles A. Ramsey will be officiating.
