Deborah Ann Krill, age 72, of Carpentersville, IL, passed away on February 6, 2024. She was born November 12, 1951 in East St. Louis, IL to her loving parents, William and Devota (née Miles) Craig.

Deborah was raised in Cahokia, IL, and she graduated from Cahokia High School, Class of 1969.

Deborah was known for her sense of humor and ability to make anyone laugh. She loved people and worked in customer service for many years. She was a bright light for many and loved to help others whenever possible. Deborah loved to garden, watch scary movies, and was deeply devoted to her faith. She also loved to listen to music and would always have a radio playing nearby.

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, William G. “Bud” Craig and Devota C. (née Miles) Craig; her sister and brother-in-law, Diann and Ron Forshee; and her brother, Dale Craig Sr.

She is survived by her daughters, Victoria (Dean) Melton, Vanessa (Daniel) DeNoon, Veronica Krill, and Valarie Krill; grandchildren, Maddison Smout, Casey Smout, and Trex DeNoon; sister, Darleen Richter; sister-in-law, Kathy Craig; best friend, Richard Waychoff; and countless other friends, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A celebration of life will be planned in the coming months; details will be forthcoming. All who knew Deborah are welcome to attend and pay their respects.

Interment will be private.
