D. Jack Kendrick

D. Jack Kendrick, age 77, a lifelong resident of Elgin, IL, passed away on January 22, 2022. He was born March 4, 1944 in Chicago, IL to his loving parents, Albert and Cassie (née Dillow) Pirtle.

Jack proudly joined the United States Marine Corps in 1965, and served honorable for four years. During his service, he earned a National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Service and Campaign Medals, and Marksman Rifle Badge.

Jack was a longtime member of American Legion Elgin Post 57. He was a loving friend to many, and will be greatly missed.

A graveside service with full military honors will be held at 11:00am, Friday, April 22, 2022 at Lakewood Memorial Park, 30W730 U.S. Hwy. 20, Elgin, IL 60120.
