Carmen Escamilla, age 48, of Elgin, IL, passed away on June 22, 2023. She was born September 16, 1974 in Mexico to her loving parents, Jacinto Hernandez and Remedios Aguilar.
Carmen and her husband, Maurilio, were married for over 25 years. Together they raised five children. They were quite in love, and happily renewed their vows to each other.
Carmen was very outgoing, happy, strong, caring, and funny. She loved cooking for everyone. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with family and playing Lotería.
Carmen is survived by her husband, Maurilio Escamilla; and her children, Manuel, Miguel, Mauri, Jorge, and Marlene.
Visitation will be 5:00pm to 9:00pm, Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at Symonds-Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park Street, Elgin, IL 60120.
Visitation will continue from 11:00am to 12:00pm, Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Symonds-Madison Funeral Home, followed by mass at 12:30pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 270 Division Street, Elgin, IL 60120. Fr. Jhon Capera will be officiating.
Interment will be private.
