It is with a heavy heart that we announce the untimely passing of Bang Kim Nguyen, age 64, of Vietnam, on May 24, 2024. A beloved brother and uncle, he was born on April 20, 1960, in Vietnam.  As a respected pharmacist, Bang devoted his career to the health and well-being of his community.  His intelligence, hardworking nature, and honest intentions comforted his patients daily.

Bang recently traveled to the United States to visit his family, bringing joy and warmth to those he loved most. He was here to celebrate his grand-nephew’s college graduation. His infectious smile captivated everyone around him, his exuberant nature made it easy to get along with him, even with the younger family members.

Bang is survived by his wife and son in Vietnam; and brothers (Chanh Nguyen and Thang Nguyen) in the U.S.; nieces and nephews; and close friends who will miss him dearly.

Bang is also predeceased by his beloved sister (Tham Nguyen), nephew (Quyen Nguyen) and niece (Phuong Nguyen).

Prayers with family and close friends will be held at 7:00am, followed by visitation from 9:00am to 10:45am, Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at Symonds-Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park Street, Elgin, IL 60120.
