Armando Latigo, age 63, of St. Charles, IL, passed away on November 22, 2024. He was born April 26, 1961 in Weslaco, TX to his loving parents, Armando Peña and Frances Trevino.

Armando worked as a carpenter and a union organizer, and had a good work ethic. He was very determined, strong, smart, protective, and motivating. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was family oriented. He was always teaching.

Armando was also an ordained minister. He enjoyed art, reading, working out, riding his motorcycle, and Tae Kwon Do. He liked going to dog shows and exotic animal shows, and he served as a judge at the Iron Dog competitions. And he loved rooting for his favorite team, the Chicago Bears.

Armando was preceded in death by his father, Armando Peña. He is survived by his children, Kristye Davis, Maria (Willie Earl Bell) Latigo, Brandon Latigo, Elias Richoz Latigo, Andres Diaz, and Rhonda Irby; mother, Frances (Oscar) Latigo; stepmother, Irene Rodriguez; siblings, Marisvel (Raul) Hernandez, Javier Latigo, Jesus (Jennifer) Trevino, Armando Peña, and Pamela Hughes; grandchildren, Kiara Davis, Daniel Davis, Talei Davis, Skyla Latigo, Ian Latigo, Gucci Latigo, Baby Willie Latigo, Malcolm Latigo, Faye Latigo, Silas Diaz, Kellan Diaz, Sebastian Diaz, Rosa Lynn Diaz, Takeyla Irby, Tamia Graham, Latecia Irby, and Laniyha Irby; nieces and nephews, Kelsey Waltson, Alexandria Trevino, Louis Peña, Alejandra Peña, Raul Hernandez Jr, Ricardo Hernandez, Rudy Hernandez, Rolando Hernandez, and Raymond Hernandez; and a multitude of loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be 5:00pm to 9:00pm, Thursday, December 5, 2024, and will continue from 10:30am until funeral service at 12:30pm, Friday, December 6, 2024, at Symonds-Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park Street, Elgin, IL 60120. Fr. Robert Camacho will be officiating.

Repast will follow.  Interment will be private.
