Antonia Castro

Antonia Castro, de 65 años, de Hanover Park, IL, paso a mejor vida el 6 de agosto de 2023. Nació el 15 de febrero de 1958 en México de sus amados padres, Faustino Pérez y Fulgencia Castro.

Antonia era muy trabajadora. Trabajó en una fábrica de dulces como manipuladora de paquetes durante muchos años, luego abrió un restaurante llamado Guac Mexican Grill, donde cocinó y trabajó con sus hijas durante tres años antes de cerrar y jubilarse.

Antonia también disfrutó de su tiempo libre. Le gustaba ver programas de cocina, jugar el juego de mesa Loteria, leer, ver partidos de fútbol los fines de semana y pasar tiempo con sus queridas mascotas, Doidal, Oliver y Ace.

A Antonia le encantaba la Navidad y ver películas navideñas. Le gustaba pasar tiempo al aire libre, disfrutar de las flores y observar aves. Y disfrutaba viajar a Nueva York, Disney World, Kentucky y Wisconsin Dells.

Los seres queridos recordarán cómo Antonia siempre tenía un tazón de fruta fresca listo para cualquier persona en la casa. Y todos los domingos era día de panqueques; su forma favorita de comerlos era con platanos y fresas encima.

Antonia siempre vio lo bueno en las personas. Ella apoyó mucho los sueños y metas de sus hijas. Era una pensadora positiva y creía en la buena suerte. También pasó el mayor tiempo posible con sus nietos, amándolos y animándolos a ir a la escuela.

A Antonia le sobreviven sus hijas, Laura Orozco, Lili Parra y Daisy Hernandez, sus hermanas, Ana, Remé, Elena y Nattie; nietos, D'Angelo, Nate, Ally, Maggie y Kevin Jr.; sobrino, Jorge; y sobrina, Gaby.

El velorio será a las 10:30 a. m. y el funeral a las 12:30 p. m., el jueves 10 de agosto de 2023 en Symonds-Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park Street, Elgin, IL 60120. Michael Murschel estará oficiando. La familia pide a los asistentes a la visita que usen un tono de rosa, el color favorito de Antonia. Sin ropa negra, por favor.

Antonia Castro, age 65, of Hanover Park, IL, passed away on August 6, 2023. She was born February 15, 1958 in Mexico to her loving parents, Faustino Perez and Fulgencia Castro.

Antonia was an extremely hard worker. She worked at a candy factory as a package handler for many years, then opened a restaurant named Guac Mexican Grill, where she cooked and worked with her daughters for three years before closing and retiring.

Antonia also enjoyed her downtime. She liked watching cooking shows, playing the board game Loteria, reading, watching soccer games on the weekends, and spending time with her beloved pets, Doidal, Oliver, and Ace.

Antonia loved Christmas, and watching Christmas movies. She liked spending time outdoors, enjoying the flowers and birdwatching. And she enjoyed traveling to New York, Disney World, Kentucky, and the Wisconsin Dells.

Loved ones will remember how Antonia always had a fresh bowl of fruit ready for anyone in the house. And every Sunday was pancake day; her favorite way to eat them was with fresh berries on top.

Antonia always saw the good in people. She was very supportive of her daughters' dreams and goals. She was a positive thinker and believed in good luck. She also spent as much time as possible with her grandkid, loving on them, and encouraging them to go to school.

Antonia is survived by her daughters, Laura Orozco, Lili Parra, and Daisy Hernandez, siblings, Ana, Remé, Elena, and Nattie; grandchildren, D’Angelo, Nate, Ally, Maggie, and Kevin Jr.; nephew, Jorge; and niece, Gaby.

Visitation will be 10:30am until funeral service at 12:30pm, Thursday, August 10, 2023 at Symonds-Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park Street, Elgin, IL 60120. Michael Murschel will be officiating. The family asks those attending the visitation to wear a shade of pink, Antonia’s favorite color. No black attire, please.

Interment to follow at Bluff City Cemetery, 945 Bluff City Boulevard, Elgin, IL 60120.
