Anthony R. Neal, age 29, of Elgin, IL, passed away on February 10, 2022. He was born April 3, 1992 in Chicago, IL to his loving parents, Anthony R. Neal Sr. and Sharon Gassion.

Anthony graduated from William Fremd High School, where he met most of his close friends, whom he cherished. He worked on and off at factory jobs and was taking up his passion in music.

Anthony loved his family and friends, and loved to put a smile on everyone’s face. He loved music and wanted to make a career of it. Before passing, he was working on an album.

Anthony was funny, loving, and respectable. He loved play-fighting with his nephews, and being a jokester.

In heaven, Anthony will join his grandmothers, Adeline Gassion and Emma J. Neal; and uncle, Darryl Gassion. He leaves to cherish his loving memories, his mother, Sharon Gassion; father, Anthony Neal, Sr; sisters, Antwanette Neal, Andrea, Neal, and Alexis Neal; brother, Antonio Neal; aunts, Bertha Shaw, Eva (Randy Sr.) Gassion, Karen Gassion, Katina (Marc) Gassion, and Carla Rufus; uncles, Eric Gassion-Deidra, James Butcher, Dennis Gassion, Kelly Rufus, and Andre Neal; nephews, Adrian Abbott, Deondrae Clements, Carmelo Abbott, Jeremiah Clements, and Khalil Abbot; godson, Elijah Jaynes; and a long line of loving cousins, and extended family.

Visitation will be 1:00pm until funeral service at 4:00pm, Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Symonds-Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park Street, Elgin, IL 60120. Pr. Willie Tate will be officiating.

Mourners are encouraged to review the funeral home COVID-19 public health policies ahead of time.

Interment will be private.
