Allen Randall William Novak, age 42, of South Elgin, IL, passed away on December 27, 2025. He was born January 14, 1983 in Oak Ridge, TN to his loving mother, Cindy Lee (née Conner) Anderson. Cindy’s husband, James Anderson, raised Allen as his own, and became his father in every way that mattered.

Allen will be remembered for his quick wit, kind heart, and deep love for animals. He had a special way of making people laugh, and always looked out for the neighborhood strays and wildlife, feeding them and making sure they were never forgotten.

A loving son and loyal friend, Allen brought warmth and humor to those around him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Allen was preceded in death by his brother, Douglas Novak. He is survived by his parents, Cindy and James Anderson; siblings, Kenneth Novak, Erik Novak, Julia Anderson, and Lenny Kerkman; and niece, Athena Novak.

A memorial will be held from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, with service at 7:30pm, Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Symonds-Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park Street, Elgin, IL 60120.
